The Wild Wood Restaurant Group was founded in May 2002 in Whistler, British Columbia. It founded The Wild Wood Cafe & Catering Company with a great desire to open a restaurant that would be "owned by locals for locals". Of course everyone is welcome! The Cafe, as it became known to Whistlerites, is a huge success. Based on large portions, great pricing, and Awesome flavour they have become the favourite spot in Function Junction.

In December 2002 The Wild Wood Bistro & Bar at the Whistler Racquet Club was born. The Wild team again exceeded locals expectations by offering the same day menu as in Function. A new dinner menu was developed using Pacific Northwest ingredients, especially seafood. Always great prices and even better flavour!
