The Wild Wood Restaurant Group was founded in May 2002 in Whistler, British Columbia. It founded The Wild Wood Cafe & Catering Company with a great desire to open a restaurant that would be "owned by locals for locals". Of course everyone is welcome! The Cafe, as it became known to Whistlerites, is a huge success. Based on large portions, great pricing, and Awesome flavour they have become the favourite spot in Function Junction. In December 2002 The Wild Wood Bistro & Bar at the Whistler Racquet Club was born. The Wild team again exceeded locals expectations by offering the same day menu as in Function. A new dinner menu was developed using Pacific Northwest ingredients, especially seafood. Always great prices and even better flavour! At Elements Urban Tapas Parlour, located in the Summit Lodge and Spa, Chef Kate Yee and General Manager April Solonyka are excited about their locally inspired cuisine, infused martinis, boutique new world wines and intimate setting.
