In May 2002 a group of dedicated and passionate locals decided the time was right to open a place "owned by locals for locals". And so the Wild Wood Cafe & Catering Co. was cooking for the hard working persons in Function Junction. In December 2002 it was time to let the village into the mix. The Wild Wood Bistro & Bar opened at the Whistler Racquet Club, exceeding locals expectations by offering the same day menu as in Function. A new dinner menu was developed using Pacific Northwest ingredients, especially seafood. Always great prices and even better flavour! In December 2004, the Wild team opened The Wild Wood Bistro and Bar in Pemberton. A winning combination of great food, great value, and bistro ambience will be offered to the gateway visitors of the Coast Mountains.
